Jack Milburn (1928-1939)

Born 1908, Left back Jack was the eldest of the LUFC Ashington-born Milburn clan and dynasty. Like his famous Nephew (Big Jack) he was christened John. Partnered younger brother George and was superceded by his youngest brother Jimmy. Possessor of a kick like a mule, the LUFC penalty king, scored 30 times in his 408 games. Joined in 1927 he left for Norwich City in 1939 but returned to make 64 guest appearances in the War Years.
