Paul Hart: # 86 MOT 100 Greatest LUFC Players Ever
Paul Hart (1978-1983)

Born Manchester in 1953, he was a commanding stopper and was bought to
replace Gordon McQueen in 1978. He was often tipped for England honours but
they never materialised. He made 223 appearances, scoring 20 goals, before
leaving for Nottingham Forest in 1983. He later appeared for Sheffield Wednesday,
Birmingham City and Notts County and some managerial and coaching posts before
he returned to Elland Road to take charge of the successful youth programme
which peaked with the defeat of the all-star Man United in the two legged final
of the FA Youth Cup.
