Little is known about Walter McKellar. It is believed that he was on the books of Huddersfield Town during the Second World War. He only played one game for Leeds United, at Centre Forward on 4th December 1943 in the 1943-44 Football League Northern Section (First Championship) 1-2 defeat at Elland Road against Halifax Town. It is not thought that McKellar played professionally in the Football League.
