Little is known about A. Saxon, but he is thought to have played with Yorkshire Amateurs. He played one game for Leeds United in the 1939-40 Football League North-East Division. He played at Outside Left on 8th June 1940 in the final game of the season in a 1-3 defeat by Newcastle United at Elland Road. It is not thought that Saxon played professionally in the Football League.
