Tom Jennings: # 65 MOT 100 Greatest LUFC Players Ever

Tom Jennings (1925-1931)

Born 1902 Tom held all the Leeds scoring records prior to the advent of John Charles. Playing 174 times his 117 goals bears witness to his goal scoring prolificness. Joining LUFC from Raith Rovers in 1925, he was ever-present in the following season scoring 35 goals, including three consecutive hat-tricks, a feat only equalled twice in Football League History. Despite his record the nearest he came to a Scottish cap was scoring a goal for the Anglo-Scots in a trial against the Home-Scots in 1928. He left for Chester in 1931.
