Little is known about Lawrence D’Arcy. He is believed to have played for Southern League side Folkestone. "YEP said he was a Folkestone footballer and a Middlesex cricketer. He was later also an umpire in Minor Counties cricket." (Thanks to Neil Roche). He only played the one game for Leeds at Left Back. It came in the 1942-43 Football League Northern Section (Second Championship) in a 1-4 defeat by Huddersfield Town at Elland Road. It is not thought that D’Arcy played professionally in the Football League. He died on 30th September 1996 at Westgate-on-Sea, Kent.
