Little is known about Lawrence D’Arcy. He is believed to have played for Southern League side Folkestone. "YEP said he was a Folkestone footballer and a Middlesex cricketer" (Thanks to Neil Roche). He only played the one game for Leeds at Left Back. It came in the 1942-43 Football League Northern Section (Second Championship) in a 1-4 defeat by Huddersfield Town at Elland Road. It is not thought that D’Arcy played professionally in the Football League.
