Little is known about Dennis Marshall, but he was thought to be a United Junior or Reserve team player. He only played one game for Leeds United, at Outside Right on 7th November 1942 in the 1942-43 Football League Northern Section (First Championship) 1-1 draw at Elland Road against Bradford Park Avenue. It is not thought that Marshall played professionally in the Football League.
