Little is known about Hugh McTavish. It is believed that he was on the books of Watford during the Second World War. He only played one game for Leeds United, at Outside Left on 21st September 1940 in the 1940-41 North Regional League 0-0 draw at Elland Road against Manchester City. It is not thought that McTavish played professionally in the Football League.
