Little is known about Herbert Padgett. He was thought to have been on the books of Sheffield Wednesday during the War Years. He only played one game for Leeds United in the 1943-44 Football League Northern Section (First Championship) at Inside Right on 11th September 1943 in a 1-5 defeat by Bradford City at Elland Road. It is not thought that Padgett played professionally in the Football League.
